Georgia Republican gubernatorial candidate Vernon Jones this week, referring to the November 2020 presidential election, asked for a forensic audit of all of the state’s 159 counties.
Jones said this in an emailed message this week to his supporters.
Jones said he was glad to know that Georgia Speaker of the House David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge) had called upon the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) to look into alleged voting fraud in Fulton County.
“But, as I have been screaming from the rooftops for months, we need a forensic audit in all 159 counties in Georgia. This statewide audit should be the ‘people’s independent audit,’ paid for with taxpayer dollars and conducted by an independent, non-partisan, expert organization like Cyber Ninjas, the company being utilized in Maricopa County [Arizona]. This should NOT be done by the GBI. I went to Maricopa County to tour the on-going audit there. It was professional, detailed, efficient and thorough,” Jones said.
“Georgia voters are tired of this charade. [Georgia Gov.] Brian Kemp’s GBI was asked to help investigate the election in December of 2020 which resulted in nothing. Now, we are learning there is plenty of clear and irrefutable evidence of fraud and errors in Fulton County, including mismarked tally sheets, missing tally sheets, missing chain of custody documents, and double counting of ballots.”
Ralston said he wants the GBI to determine if “any irregularities or willful fraud occurred” in Georgia’s largest metropolis last November.
The request comes after an independent observer for Raffensperger noted two dozen pages of irregularities in the Atlanta vote counting center on November 3. These irregularities included double scanning of ballots, insecure transportation of ballots and possible voter privacy violations.
Separately, a watchdog group called VoterGA, which won court access to absentee ballot data, said last week its review found that Fulton County’s hand count audit of the November election was riddled with “massive errors and provable fraud.”
Ralston said the recent reports of problems require a “thorough examination and explanation.”
Jones announced his candidacy for governor in April. At the time, he said Kemp’s job performance, especially when it came to ensuring “a free, fair, and transparent election,” had fallen short.
According to Ballotpedia, Jones served in the Georgia House of Representatives as a Democrat between 2017 until January of this year. He left the Democratic Party in 2021 and switched to the GOP.
State legislators pushed Kemp to call a special legislative session late last year, before the January U.S. Senate runoff elections. The special session did not happen. Had such a special session occurred then state legislators would likely have addressed the appointed presidential electors and the implementation of laws limiting voter fraud in the general election runoff.
Kemp also would not use his authority to change the date of the state’s two U.S. Senate elections from January 5 to February 1 of this year. Moving back the date might have given members of the Georgia General Assembly additional time to coordinate and develop ways to prevent potential election fraud. Democrats Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff defeated incumbent U.S. Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R-GA) and incumbent U.S. Sen. David Perdue, respectively.

Is the GBI corrupt as well? Would really like to know if they were told to stand down.
Vernon Jones appears to be the only candidate that cares about finding out about the actual extent of the cheating.
Kemp has accumulated a lot of campaign money. One can only wonder where it came from.
Lets all nickname Vernon Jones– EXACTLY. CAUSE he always gets it exactly right. KNOW WHAT I MEAN VERN
Vote VERNON JONES! This state needs to be cleaned up now from the top to the bottom! Mr Ralston why was the two Senators removed from their committees when they questioned possible fraud in the election? There is a lot of dead cats on the end of this line Mr Jones.
